Skagerak Across 2015

The Tvedestrand Racing Club are once again hosting the ultimate offshore race- the Skagerak Across race.
It is not for the weak hearted as all boats competing must have a minimum speed ability of 40 knots!
The club start the race early around 8am from the harbour. once the starting pistol has gone off spectators can watch as all eleven competitor's zoom towards Hirtshals. Once there they do a 360 turn and hurtle at breakneck speeds to the finish line back at Tvedestrand.
YB tracking are thrilled to be part of this exciting high speed race once again. Our trackers will be fastened (very tightly) to each boat and transmitting every two minutes. These transmissions include gps co-ordinates, speed and direction. All of these are compiled in real time on to our live race player. This means supporters, family and fans can keep up to date with the events of the race no matter how far away they are from Norway.
