900 Nautique de Saint-Tropez 2016

  • February 15, 2016

For the 7th edition of 900 Water St. Tropez, there has been high anticipation from the get go, with it becoming fully subscribed soon after registration opened.

Since its creation in 2010, the Société Nautique has never had so many requests for participation of an offshore race. The appeal comes as the club offers a shorter single handed course. The demand has meant that the original limit of thirty racers has had to be upped, meaning that the fight for line honours will be even tougher this year.

The fleet consists of twenty-one single handers and seventeen participants multi crews, all gunning for the finish line. You can follow their progress as each yacht will have a YB tracker installed before the starting pistol fires. The trackers will wake up at predetermined intervals to transmit data such as GPS coordinates, speed and direction, through the Iridium satillete network to YB HQ servers. The data is then visualised onto our race player for friends, family and supporters to follow their favourite or the entire fleet.

For more information and tracking once the race begins please visit the race website.
