Tour of Hope

  • September 11, 2017

Tour of Hope (Borneo) is a solo charity bicycle ride from the southernmost tip to the northernmost tip of Malaysian Borneo. The goal is to create awareness and raise fund for the Sabah Society of the Blind's brand new training center. Sabah, the poorest state in Malaysia, has the highest prevalence of visual impairment and blindness in the country, based on the National Eye Survey released in 2000, with Sabah 57% higher than that of the national average. High poverty rate and a sparse population (35 persons per kilometer square) in a vast land mast made access to health care a challenge. He is also going for the Malaysia Book of Records "Longest Distance Borneo Roads Solo Cycling" minimum distance 1600km.
