Rebelle Rally

The Rebelle Rally was created by professional driver/navigator Emily Miller who, following an award-winning career at Rod Hall racing, focused her efforts on developing teamwork skills and instilling confidence in women through the 2000 km, 7 day rally across the Nevada and California deserts.
The rally attracts entrants from all over the United States and the world. It’s not a timed race, but rather a points based rally where two-women teams must successfully navigate to different checkpoints each day, with locations becoming increasingly difficult as the 8 day rally unfolds.
Teams can compete in either full fledged 4x4s, or crossover vehicles. In fact many vehicles are stock with the only vehicle modifications being off-road tyres and uprated underbody protection to help weather the elements.
The Rebelle Rally is a hardcore navigation rally - all phones are left behind and in-car navigation systems summarily blanked out with tape. Teams are relegated to using compasses and roadbooks to navigate across trials and basecamps, all the while battling exhaustion and dramatic temperature swings.
After a grueling twelve hour traverse of the American West via dirt roads, double tracks, trails, and sand dunes, teams return to basecamp to swap stories and recharge their batteries for the next day ahead.
“At the Rebelle Rally, our competition is absolutely dependent upon accurate data, as our whole scoring platform is built upon it and it is the backbone of safety.” says Emily Miller.
That’s why the Rebelle Rally teams and race officials use the YB3i for bi-directional communication, scoring and alerting. Families and friends can even track their loved ones’ progress online, via the YB Race Viewer.
