SSANZ Round North Island 2014

The SSANZ has successfully introduced a lot of sailors to the challenges and satisfaction of Two Handed Sailing. For those who want to embark on what could be the greatest adventure of their lives the Two Handed Round North Island Race is a perfect match!
The race runs every three years and is a four leg course that rounds the North Island of New Zealand in an anti clockwise direction. The first leg will set sail from Auckland Harbour on the 8th February 2014 and finish just outside the entrance of Mangonui Harbour. Leg two will see the fleet sail to Wellington Harbour, while leg three will finish in Napier Harbour. The last leg will see the competitors sail back to Auckland Harbour.
Entry is limited to 30 boats and with a little over a month till they set sail there is only two places left.
We tracked the previous edition of Round North Island and are proud to be providing our services once again. Each of the boats will have a YB Tracker on board which will transmit every hour throughout the duration of the race. Loved ones left on shore will be able to follow the whole fleet or an individual on the online map. This map is a realtime map of the boats positions, speed and direction among other things. It also has a current leaderboard so you can check if your favourite is number 1!
